Introduction:
This statement has been published in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by Delta Medical International Ltd for the period 1st November 2025 to 31st October 2026 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its own business operations and supply chains.
Delta Medical International Ltd (DMI) is a provider of medical equipment and supplies, based in the United Kingdom. The company sources products from the UK and internationally and supplies to UK healthcare providers and distributors globally.
DMI has a policy for its Code of Business Practice, which requires that the business and its staff and agents should behave with the highest integrity and responsibility in all situations. The company’s reputation is fundamentally important to its success and must be protected by the highest standards of conduct at all times.
Organisation Structure & Supply Chains
DMI is managed by the Directors, who are responsible for ensuring that all staff and associates comply with the business policies and procedures, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
The business sources its products from suppliers in the UK and internationally. The Directors oversee the process of sourcing from any new supplier.
The business supplies products to UK healthcare providers, almost exclusively to NHS organisations, and to distributors internationally who in turn supply healthcare providers in their own countries.
Policies in relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
DMI is fundamentally opposed to any form of modern slavery or human trafficking and has a zero-tolerance approach to any such practices; all staff and agents are made aware of this principle. The company expects the same from all its business partners.
DMI will endeavour to ensure that its suppliers and distributors behave in an ethical manner and comply with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Activities and steps taken will be proportionate to the estimated risk.
Any person acting directly on behalf of DMI will be made fully aware of the company’s policy and of this Statement.
DMI considers that the behaviour of its business partners directly impacts the company’s reputation and is fully committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards, of which modern slavery principles are a part.
Due Diligence Processes
The Directors are responsible for ensuring that DMI and any of its staff and agents comply with the company’s commitment on Modern Slavery. Where appropriate the actions of staff and agents will be reviewed to ensure compliance.
Wherever possible DMI will review the Modern Slavery statements of its business partners. If such statements do not exist then the company will obtain a written commitment to the principles as contained in this Statement wherever possible.
If DMI discovers that any partner is involved in practices that might be considered an infringement of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, or its principles, then the company will terminate the relationship and report them to the relevant authorities.
Responsibility for the Policy
The Directors of DMI are responsible for maintaining the Modern Slavery policy and for ensuring compliance with its contents.
Risk Assessment and Management
DMI recognises that the risk of infringing the Modern Slavery Act 2015 is higher in certain countries and organisations. Greater attention will be given where there is perceived to be a higher risk. We believe the current risk is very low.
A separate Risk Assessment has been conducted by the directors and is held on file. This will be updated annually as appropriate and new business partners will be assessed.
Performance Monitoring
The directors will review this statement and the associated risk assessment on an annual basis. During the review consideration will be given to internal processes and whether the behaviour of any business partners needs to be reviewed. Latest review was on 31st October 2025 and the risk assessment was reviewed and updated as part of that process.
Training on Modern Slavery and Trafficking
All staff and agents will be made aware of the contents of this statement and the company’s zero tolerance attitude to modern slavery and human trafficking. Where appropriate training will be given.
